Shipwreck coast is a lightly used to term to label the area, East of Lands End, and West of the Golden Gate Bridge. You can access via stairs along the coastal trail towards Eagle Point. Eagle Point has a labyrinth. The hike down is easy, the hike back out is not easy.
Once down on the coast, you”ll see relics from Sutro Baths, pieces of wrecked ships, caves and unexplained mineral rock deposits or corral.
It is best to hike it at low tide.
One of the caves excretes a mucus called snottites.
The hike is not for the faint-of-heart.
