Went on a hike in San Pedro Valley Park in Pacifica, California on Saturday. I took the Old Farm Trout Farm trail to the Brooks Creek Trail, and didn’t see any wildlife. I did see an awesome view of Pacifica and the Pacific Ocean.

And the Farallon Islands. When I returned to the parking lot I decided to hike on the Weiler Ranch Trail, and after a 1/4 mile I suddenly encountered Black tailed Deer. They are a sub-species of the Mule Deer, which in the past, has been a controversial declaration. But if you look at my Flickr set you can see the similarities to Mule Deer. I had some very nice photographic moments with those deer, and was a mere 10 feet from the Buck, and at no time did I feel threatened or scared.
